Underrated/Overrated: The New Canon

city_lights_last_scene_still_image_wider As the weather gets colder, many of us will begin foregoing our outdoor activities in favor of sweatpants and movies. When you’re bundled up all warm on your couch you may think that time is infinite, limitless; that what you do in this time does not matter. And I’m here to tell you that that’s not true, that there is in fact a distinction between good movies you’ve heard talked about ad nauseum and great movies talked about ad nauseum. I’m sure the first list will incur some ire from the people continuing the hype on these “good, but let’s move on,” types. However, I believe it’s our job as cultural consumers to question that which is assumed in the canon of great works. And where better to start than the couch you’ll be on for the next three months?

10 Movies (in no particular order) That Are Still Overrated This Holiday Season:
